One of the things I love most in my office is that all my collegues are involved with fictions and design, so we can spend a lot of time searching news and new sites for our home. Yeah, we are all workaholic, but during some cold afternoon in the office we like to sharing informations each others.
Was in this way that yesterday, N. showed me a very fun link http://www.acte-deco.fr/ about stickers that he would like to use for his future home. I liked them very much even if I would not use them in an extensive way. Instead, I appreciate indeed the little cages with birds and the cycle forgotten next to the lamp with falling leaves - so french!-  (below). Everuthing is printed on ecological canvas and they have more than 800 models in several size and  you can also personalize the all things. 
I discovered also an other funny site, perfect for kids or for very playful people of a studio http://www.geckostickers.com.br/english/ based in Brasil, which has  a marvellous gallery done by the real clients who gives ideas for using stickers at his best. Which one do you prefear most??


Una delle cose che preferisco stando tante ore in ufficio davanti al pc è la possibilità di continuare a curiosare sul web tra un lavoro e l'altro, tanto più che i miei colleghi sono anche loro intrippati tra telefilm e interior design per cui le occasioni di trovare notizie interessanti e siti utili e curiosi triplicano! Per esempio, ieri N. ha trovato questo sito molto carino di adesivi per pareti: mi è piaciuto molto anche se non ne farei un uso massiccio nella mia dimora. Tuttavia, le gabbiette con gli uccelli e la bici abbandonata sotto un lampione con le foglie che cadono (molto francese) mi hanno tentato parecchio. Ogni cosa è stampata su tessuti ecologici e hanno più di 800 soggetti personalizzabili.
In più, ho trovato anche quest'altro blog di adesivi, uno studio artistico che ha sede in Brasile a Rio de Janeiro, ed è perfetto per i bimbi o per chi ha uno spirito particolarmente giocoso: grande attenzione alla grafica, non solo naif. Nel sito potete trovare anche la gallery dei clienti che hanno usato i loro stickers: perfetto book di idee. Voi quale preferite??

 

Giallo e blu

It was a while that I was thinking to kitchen's colors: strong, pure and joyfull to mix mine and L. style. And in that while, I discovered in my library an old issue of AD in which I found the perfect match: yellow for the walls (yes, again, every shade of yellow keeps me safe in all the homes that I've designed until now) and blue velvet curtain to hide dishwasher & co. Something country and sophisticated (thank to velvet) at the same time. The plus is that yellow and blue are my beloved town's color, Parma, and L.'s team color too. I know that he will want to cover the walls with pics instead of paints, so I need to sniff out original wonderful frames..

Era da un po' che pensavo ai colori per la cucina, colori forti e gioiosi per venire incontro ai gusti di L., quando mi è ricapitato tra le mani un vecchissimo numero di AD che mi ha dato l'idea vincente: giallo per le pareti (ancora, è il jolly che nelle mie case ha sempre vinto, in una o nell'altra tonalità) e tende in velluto blu per coprire gli elettrodomestici. Un gusto country e allo stesso tempo sofisticato con i colori della sua squadra di calcio e della mia amata Parma, così mi porto un po' d'Emilia anche nelle lande lombarde.
So che vorrà riempire le pareti di foto piuttosto che di quadri.. dovrò solo trovare le cornici più adatte.

  Il mood perfetto, quello che mi si addice a pennello, quello che cercavo e non trovavo (in Italia ma di cui la Francia pullula), quel qualcosa in più che..l'ho trovato e non lo lascio più - anche se forse mi risparmia un viaggio in Provenza-.  Il mix di elementi country, shabby e pure french declinati in tutti i toni del grigio, del tortora e dell'avorio. Rovinato ma non troppo.
Il marchio è Blanc d'Ivoire, linea francese che dal 1994 propone uno stile fresco e romantico per la casa di città e di campagna. Partito con una piccola collezione, Blanc d'ivoire si è arricchito di mobili, tessuti, tende, oggettistica per la tavola e lumi: dal cassettone al bicchiere, io mi sono innamorata di un pezzo su due per l'eleganza e le atmosfere che evocano, il connubio perfetto fra i colori della semplicità e le forme di un'antica civetteria settecentesca (ma non mancano anche credenze e tavoli dalle linee più rigorose, votate all'ascetismo di interni minimal).
L'unico negozio monomarca è a Roma, ma rivenditori si trovano a Piacenza e Brescia.
